Nelson's Green Brier Tennessee Whiskey is a recreation of the original family recipe from 1860, made with a wheated mash bill. After distillation it is filtered through sugar maple charcoal in the Lincoln County Process, then aged in new charred oak barrels. It is bottled at 91 proof.
The nose offers warm caramel, vanilla bean, cinnamon baked apple and a touch of soft wheat. The palate is soft and velvety, with brown sugar, buttery pastry, sweet cherry and a hint of milk chocolate. The finish is clean and sweet, with gentle warmth and a touch of toasted oak.
