New York Distilling Co. – Ragtime Rye (70cl, 45.2%)

Ragtime Rye is an American rye whiskey from New York Distilling Co., bottled at 45.2% in a 70cl bottle. It is distilled from rye grown in New York State. The whiskey is aged only in full-size barrels, which the distillery says gives it a robust flavour and a nuanced finish. The nose is of red berries, clean rye, cherry, golden syrup, white pepper and salted liquorice. On the palate come rye spice, nutmeg, cinnamon, blackberry, raspberry and orange glaze. The finish is subtly drying, with clementine and red liquorice.
