Nikka Days Blended Whisky (75cl, 40%)

Nikka Days is a Japanese blended whisky bottled at 40% ABV in a 750ml bottle, with no age statement. It combines malt and grain whiskies from Nikka's Yoichi distillery on Hokkaido and Miyagikyo distillery near Sendai. The blend rests on Coffey grain whisky and non-peated Miyagikyo malts, with touches of Coffey malt and Yoichi malt. The Coffey stills, which keep more flavour from the grain, give the whisky a creamy texture. The nose is floral, with orange blossom, pear, citrus zest and a hint of guava and pineapple. The palate is silky, with pear, peach, toffee and vanilla. The finish is clean and medium-short, with burnt sugar, baked fruit and a trace of peat smoke.
