Nikka Taketsuru Pure Malt (70cl)

Taketsuru is a blended malt from Nikka, made at the Yoichi distillery on the Japanese island of Hokkaido, which Masataka Taketsuru founded in 1934. It is assembled from malt whiskies aged ten years on average, and comes in a 70cl bottle. The nose is intense and complex, with smoke and peat, then softer citrus, especially citron and lemon, along with malt and sweet spices. The palate is soft, vigorous and enveloping, and the finish is long, savoury and fruity.
