This is a single malt from Nikka's Yoichi distillery on the northern Japanese island of Hokkaido, made using aromatic yeast. It is bottled at 48% ABV in a 75cl bottle and has a rich amber colour.
The nose offers orchard fruits, caramelised sugar and gentle wisps of smoke. The palate has honeyed sweetness with smoky peat, dried fruits, toasted oak and a little spice, leading to a lingering finish.
