Nikka Yoichi Japanese Single Malt Whisky (75cl)

Nikka Yoichi is a Japanese single malt in a 750ml bottle, made at the Yoichi Distillery on Hokkaido. Taketsuru built the distillery in 1934, after learning single malt production in Scotland, and it produces a coastal style of whisky. The malts are lightly peated and have a salinity that nods to Islay and the island malts of Scotland. It is described as having an elegant creaminess that moves between vanilla, salted caramel, stone fruits and oak spices, with just a touch of smoke.
