Nikka – Yoichi Non Aged Single Malt (70cl, 45%)

Nikka Yoichi Non Aged is a Japanese single malt bottled at 45% in a 70cl bottle. It carries no age statement and is described as balanced and full of personality, part of a range in which each Yoichi expression differs from the last. The colour is golden copper. The nose opens with fruit and pastry, then oaky notes and warm spices, with a slight peatiness developing later. The palate is lively and fresh, with more pepper and some nutshell nuances, and the peat returns a little stronger. The finish turns salty and oaky, with a well-contained woodiness.
