This Glen Grant 18 Year Old is part of the North Star series, released to mark North Star's 10th birthday. It comes in a 70cl bottle at 56.1%.
The whisky was distilled in March 2008 and matured in a refill hogshead, then finished for 19 months in Oloroso sherry before bottling in March 2026. The release is limited to 184 bottles.
The nose is of well-fired shortbread and pistachio shells. On the palate there is apple turnover and double cream, coating the whole mouth immediately. The finish is very long, likened to a fistful of sweet cashew nuts.
