The whiskey spent nearly nine years in oak across two brand-new charred barrels: eight years in the first and eleven months in the second. This double oaking draws out sugars and vanillins, giving a dark, viscous, dessert-style bourbon.
It is described as dark caramel, toffee and toasted oak from start to finish.
