Nusbaumer Crème Suprême de Cassis (70cl, 20%)

A double crème blackcurrant liqueur from the Nusbaumer distillery in Steige, in Alsace's Villé valley. It is sold in a 70cl bottle at 20% vol. Selected blackcurrants are infused in a blackcurrant eau-de-vie, then sweetened with sugar syrup. The liqueur is brought down to strength with spring water from the Vosges massif. The nose is intense with freshly picked blackcurrant. The palate is full and smooth, with ripe, concentrated fruit and a sweetness that keeps it balanced. The finish is long, velvety and fruity, leaving a fresh impression. Serve it well chilled, neat or over ice, or use it in a kir or kir royal.
