Nusbaumer Vieux Kirsch is a cherry eau-de-vie from Alsace, made by Jos Nusbaumer. Eleven kilograms of cherries go into every litre of spirit, and after distillation it rests for five years in cask. It is brought to its final strength with water from the distillery's own spring in the Vosges.
The result is a clear spirit with pronounced cherry and almond notes. It can be sipped neat, as you would a brandy, or used in cocktails and in cooking.
