Oak & Eden Wheat & Spire is a wheated bourbon made from 51% corn, 45% wheat and 4% malted barley. It spends two years in new American oak barrels and is bottled at 45% ABV (90 proof).
The finishing happens in the bottle rather than in a second cask. A 5-inch spiral-cut spire of French oak, toasted to a medium-plus level, is placed in each bottle.
The French oak is meant to give a rich, fruity, silky finish with subtle notes of fruit and vanilla.
