Octomore 17.1 is a 5 year old single malt from Bruichladdich, bottled at 59.7% ABV and matured in ex-bourbon casks.
The .1 expression of Octomore is always matured in bourbon or American whiskey barrels. Its flavour profile changes from one year to the next, showing the effect of terroir and of the shifting weather on the rugged Islay coast.
The whisky spent its whole life maturing at the Bruichladdich distillery.
