This is Octomore 17.3, a 5 year old Islay single malt from Bruichladdich, bottled at 60.9% abv. It is a single farm, single field and single vintage whisky.
The barley was grown only in Irene's Field on Octomore Farm, and the release explores what that field contributes to the spirit.
It was aged for the full five years in first-fill bourbon barrels and second-fill European oak, including Ribera del Duero, Sauternes, Eiswein and Syrah casks.
