Old Elk – 11 Year Old Single Barrel Bourbon Whiskey "The Barrel Cartel" (75cl, 58.5%)

This is an 11 year old single barrel bourbon from Old Elk of Fort Collins, Colorado, bottled at 58.5% ABV (116.9 proof) in a 75cl bottle. "The Barrel Cartel" is one selection from the distillery's single barrel programme, which lets retailers, whiskey clubs and private collectors choose an individual barrel. Old Elk's bourbon uses a high-malt mash bill, with roughly four times the malted barley of a typical American bourbon. This was a deliberate choice by Master Distiller Greg Metze, who spent nearly four decades at MGP before founding the distillery.
