This is a straight rye whiskey from Old Elk, made from a mash of 95 percent rye and 5 percent malted barley.
It was created by Greg Metze, who drew on decades of experience distilling rye whiskey to make Old Elk's first straight rye. It was named Best American Rye Whiskey by the International Whisky Competition.
