Old Forester 1870 Original Batch (45%)

A bourbon from Old Forester, made as a tribute to 1870, the year George Garvin Brown created Old Forester on Whiskey Row in Louisville, Kentucky. It is the first craft expression in the Old Forester Whiskey Row Series. It follows Brown's original batching method, in which barrels from three distilleries were combined for a consistent flavour. Today barrels are chosen from three warehouses, each from a different day of production, with a different entry proof and age. The three are batched together and bottled at 90 proof (45% ABV), minimally filtered.
