Old Forester 1897 Bottled in Bond is a bourbon bottled at 100 proof. It is the second release in the Old Forester Whiskey Row Series and honours the U.S. Bottled-in-Bond Act of 1897.
Under that Act, a whisky labelled Bottled in Bond must be the product of one distillation season, one distiller and one distillery. The idea behind it, sealed-in quality, was something Old Forester had already introduced in 1870 as America's first bottled bourbon.
