Old Forester – Single Barrel Barrel Strength Warehouse K Floor 8 Distillery Selection (75cl, 66.2%)

A single barrel Kentucky straight bourbon from the Old Forester Distillery in Louisville, chosen by the distillery team as a Distillery Selection. It is bottled at 132.4 proof, or 66.2% ABV, in a 75cl bottle, uncut and unfiltered at natural barrel strength. The barrel was aged on Floor 8 of Warehouse K, near the top of the rick house, where temperature swings are at their most extreme and draw more from the wood. The nose gives rich caramel, toasted oak and vanilla with hints of dark cherry and baking spice. The palate is full and concentrated, with butterscotch, dark fruit, cinnamon and firm oak tannins, and the finish is long, warm and oak-led.
