Old Perth The Original (70cl, 43%)

This is a blended malt Scotch whisky from Speyside, made only from single malts that have matured in sherry casks. The Old Perth brand dates back to 1908 and was revived after the Scotch crisis, in keeping with Perth's long history as a blending town. It is typically described as soft, fruity and gently spicy, with a nose of spicy sherry, dark chocolate, ripe blackberry and cherry, toffee and fudge. On the palate it is soft and creamy, with raisins, dates and figs, honey and caramel, and light clove and pepper. The finish is medium to long, with sherry sweetness and fine spice.
