Old Pulteney 18 Year Old is a Highland single malt matured for 18 years in a combination of ex-bourbon and Spanish oak casks.
The casks give it a character built around chocolate, spice and bright citrus, with a maritime influence behind it.
The nose is warming, with chocolate, creamy vanilla and honey balanced by spice, and flowery fruit giving way to citrus and apple. On the palate come chocolate, honeyed spice and Christmas cake, with floral notes and green apple, leading to a long finish.
