An Old Pulteney 8 Year Old Highland single malt from the 1980s, labelled Rare. It is gold in colour.
The nose is full of fresh mint and other herbs, in a northern Highland manner. On the palate there is salted orange marmalade and orange cake, followed by praline and caramel, then a little bubblegum and marshmallow. The finish is fairly long and saltier still, with more bubblegum and a note of wine gums.
