Old Pulteney 18 Years Old is a Highland single malt bottled at 46% ABV. It was released in mid-2018 as part of a fleet of new expressions from the distillery.
The whisky was drawn from a combination of bourbon and Spanish oak casks.
The nose is cinnamon-spiced cookie dough, ripe oak and a very light hint of charcoal. On the palate, dark chocolate and green apple balance bitterness with sweetness, with waves of vanilla and rye bread behind. The finish brings citrus, sea salt and wet grass.
