Old Rip Van Winkle 12 Year Old Special Reserve is a Kentucky straight bourbon, bottled at 90.4 proof (45.2%) in a 75cl bottle. It is described as sweet yet full-bodied, well balanced, and suited to drinking after dinner in the way of a good cognac. The nose brings butterscotch and Demerara sugar. On the palate come gentle spices, cinnamon, charcoal, coffee and honey, leading to a long finish full of caramel.
