Old Rip Van Winkle Handmade Bourbon is a 10 year old Kentucky bourbon in a 750ml bottle, bottled at 53.5% ABV. It is described as a rich copper colour.
It is bottled at nearly barrel proof, with only a splash of Kentucky limestone water added after a decade of ageing.
The nose is sweet and spicy, with caramel, nut and fudge. The palate is fruity and medium to full in body, with intense dried fruit and toasted nuts. The finish is very long, with peppery brown spices, floral honey and charred barrel.
