Castle's Curse is a 14-year-old Highland single malt from Teaninich Distillery, part of the Orphan Barrel series managed by Diageo. It is bottled at 47.4% in a 75cl bottle. Teaninich was founded in 1817 in Alness. This whisky matured in European oak, and its spirit is made with a mash filter rather than a traditional mash tun, which gives a very clear wort. Tangerine and orange zest lead the nose, followed by poached pear and crisp apple. The palate is clean and semi-creamy, with vanilla, red apple, cantaloupe, baking spices and a thread of fresh mint. The finish is short to medium, moving to lemon zest with oak and spice.

About Glenbotal

The idea of Glenbotal came to us naturally: as whisky lovers, we were always on the lookout for new experiences in the whisky world. That’s why we created Glenbotal and became our very own first customers. We buy unique and hard to find spirits from ballots and private collections. Then, we share them with a small circle of friends and people who can appreciate a good dram.
