Patrón Extra Añejo is a tequila produced by Casa Patrón in Jalisco, Mexico. It begins with 100% Blue Weber agave sourced from highland regions. The agave is slow-cooked, fermented and double-distilled in small batches. The tequila is then aged in premium oak barrels, often a combination of ex-bourbon, French oak or seasoned casks, for an extended period beyond the standard for añejo. Tasting notes include toasted oak, vanilla bean, sweet caramel, spiced honey, dried fruit, citrus zest, butterscotch and toasted almond.
