Peat Chimney Blended Malt Scotch Whisky

Peat Chimney is a blended malt from Wemyss Malts, built around the smoky side of Scotch whisky. It is a coastal bottling that sets fresh citrus against nuanced peat smoke. It combines more than ten single malts from different whisky regions. Roughly 58% is Speyside malt, with about 4% each of peated Highland and Island malt, and 34% heavily peated Islay malt, which supplies the layers of peat smoke. The nose is phenolic, like campfire smoke, with citrus, maritime notes and honey. The palate follows the same lines, and the medium finish adds spice to the maritime, smoky and citrus notes.
