A peated Scottish whisky finished in Pedro Ximénez sherry casks and bottled at natural cask strength. The sweet sherry influence softens the peat while adding depth.
The nose combines strong smoke with dark fruit, raisins and molasses, plus chocolate and spice. The palate is intense, with peat, brown sugar, dried fruit and spice in a full, enveloping texture. The finish is long and warming, smoky, sweet and lightly spiced.
It is best neat, with a few drops of water to open it up.
