Peerless Barrel Proof is a Kentucky straight rye whiskey, in a 750ml bottle at 54.4% ABV. It is made from a sweet mash.
On the nose there is fresh oak, banana and corn, with hints of vanilla, rye, pine and anise. The palate starts sweet and turns to spice, with brown sugar, vanilla, oak, pepper and a touch of peaches. The finish is slightly dry and tannic, with leather, rye grain, new oak and a little smoke lingering.
