Penelope Bourbon Barrel Strength

Penelope Barrel Strength is a straight bourbon blended from three mash bills, each aged for between 3.5 and 5 years in new American oak barrels. The barrels were hand selected and combined into a single batch, and the bourbon is bottled uncut and non-chill-filtered. It takes the four grain flavour profile of the Penelope range and pushes it further. The nose is sweet caramel with hints of maple syrup and candied sweetness. On the palate come caramel syrup, brown sugar, light barrel char, butterscotch and crème brûlée, turning to cinnamon and a little maple. The finish is spicy, with lingering cinnamon and heat.
