Philadelphia 8 Year Old Blended American Whiskey - 1960s (1L, 43.4%)

This is Philadelphia, an 8 year old blended American whiskey bottled at 43.4% in a 100cl bottle. Continental Distilling produced it at the Kinsey distillery in Linfield, Pennsylvania, which is now in ruins. The blend is 35% straight whiskies aged 8 years and 65% grain neutral spirits. The bottle dates from between 1964, when the federally required warning about refilling bottles was dropped, and 1977, when the tax strip wording changed from Internal Revenue to Bureau of ATF. Continental Distilling was a subsidiary of Publicker, which later founded Inver House.
