Il Falchetto Piemonte DOC Chardonnay is a white wine from Piedmont. It has a bright straw yellow colour, with reflections that can vary from green to golden depending on the vintage.
On the nose there are notes of ripe fruit such as peaches and medlars, with white flowers and a light touch of vanilla and butter from brief ageing in barrique for some selections. On the palate it is rich but balanced, with fresh acidity and a long finish with delicate touches of almond and citrus.
It suits rich fish dishes, white meats and medium-aged cheeses, and is best served cool, between 10 and 12 degrees Celsius.
