Pikesville Straight Rye is a high-proof Maryland style rye, bottled at 110 proof, or 55% ABV, in a 750ml bottle. The whiskey is drawn from selected barrels aged at least 6 years.
Pikesville has been produced since the 1890s. Prohibition closed most of Maryland's rye industry, but the brand re-emerged in 1936 and kept the style going. Heaven Hill later brought it back using extra-aged barrels it had set aside.
