Pinhook Bourbon War 8 Year Vertical Series

This is an 8 year old bourbon from Pinhook, the fifth release in its Vertical Series. It is blended from 120 barrels sourced from MGP and aged at Castle & Key. The whiskey is unfiltered, and each bottle is hand-waxed in gold. The series follows a group of 1,350 MGP barrels as they age from 4 to 12 years, to show how age shapes flavour. The nose is bright, with orange curacao, oloroso sherry, clove and brown sugar. The palate is full, with dark cherry, plum, cinnamon and burnt sugar.
