Pinhook Vertical Series Single Barrel is a 10-year-old bourbon from the 2025 release. The Vertical Series follows a group of barrels over several years, with a new vintage released each year. This one was distilled in Lawrenceburg, Indiana, and bottled in Frankfort, Kentucky.
It is bottled unfiltered at cask strength, 50% ABV (100 proof). The label shows Bourbon War, a champion racehorse.
The nose offers warm vanilla, caramel and toasted oak with a hint of dark chocolate. The palate has spiced honey, orange peel and cinnamon, with a little nutmeg and clove, and the long finish carries toffee and baking spices.
