Pinot Nero Friuli Grave DOC - Antonutti

An elegant and refined red wine from Friuli-Venezia Giulia, made from a careful selection of Pinot Nero grapes grown in the gravelly alluvial soils of the Friuli Grave DOC area. It has a delicate but bright ruby red colour. The nose reveals fresh red fruit such as strawberries and cherries, with a light jam note and floral violet nuances, plus delicate touches of vanilla and sweet spices from ageing in used barriques. On the palate it is harmonious and balanced, with well-balanced acidity and soft, silky tannins, closing with a persistent and pleasantly fruity finish. It can be enjoyed on its own or paired with white meats, mushroom dishes or medium-aged cheeses. Serve at 16-18°C. It has good ageing potential.
