This is a 15 year old Teaninich single malt from the Highlands, bottled by The Whisky Cellar in its Pintail range at 52.7% in a 70cl bottle. It has natural colour and is not chill-filtered.
The whisky was finished in an ex-Muscat de Rivesaltes barrel. Muscat de Rivesaltes is a sweet white fortified wine from Roussillon in southern France, made only from Muscat grapes. The outturn is 176 bottles.
It is pale gold. The nose has peaches, nectarine, lemon zest and mint tea. The palate brings mango, honey, dried apricots, sultanas, white pepper and an herbal freshness, and the finish has cake spice, yellow stone fruits and a toasty, resinous oak ending.
