A single malt from Port Askaig, bottled by Elixir Distillers at 50.5% ABV in a 70cl bottle. This 2026 edition was matured in sherry casks.
On the nose there is smoked damson jam, blackcurrant cordial and cracked black pepper over seared steak, with navel orange and a hint of liquorice. The palate is dense and jammy, with coal smoke, dark chocolate-covered cherries, peppercorn sauce and barbecued meats. The finish is long, with dark chocolate nibs, dried mint and lingering boozy berries.
