Port Charlotte – 5 Years Old - 2001 PC5 is a single malt whisky from Port Charlotte (Islay). Bottled at 63.5% ABV, 70cl. This was the first release of heavily peated Port Charlotte from the Bruichladdich distillery. Produced in 2001 from some of the first spirits to be produced after Port Charlotte's reopening. This cask-strength bottling was the vision of master distiller Jim McEwan, in homage to the excellent single malt produced in the village of Port Charlotte until 1929. It was matured in both bourbon and sherry casks. This 5-year-old release was limited to 6,038 individually numbered bottles. Read less
