Port Charlotte PC6 Cuairt-Beatha is the second release in the limited PC series, a heavily peated Islay single malt from Bruichladdich. Cuairt-Beatha is Gaelic for 'The Walk of Life', and the bottling is dedicated to the distillery's workers. The whisky was distilled in 2001, matured for six years in bourbon and Madeira casks and bottled in 2007 at a cask strength of 61.6%. In all, 18,000 bottles were released, in tubes that feature the warehousemen Andy and Grant. The nose brings green apple, mild mint, clove and bayleaf, with dates and raisins from the Madeira casks. The palate is peaty and smoky, with sweet citrus.

About Glenbotal

The idea of Glenbotal came to us naturally: as whisky lovers, we were always on the lookout for new experiences in the whisky world. That’s why we created Glenbotal and became our very own first customers. We buy unique and hard to find spirits from ballots and private collections. Then, we share them with a small circle of friends and people who can appreciate a good dram.
