A single cask Port Dundas single grain from the Lowlands, distilled on 26 October 2009 and matured for nine years in an ex-bourbon American oak cask. The independent bottler The Single Cask filled 294 bottles on 18 April 2019 at a cask strength of 65.2% ABV, without colouring or chill-filtration. Port Dundas, in Glasgow, closed in 2010 and is counted among the lost distilleries. The nose is subtle at cask strength, with floral notes that open up with a little water. The palate is lively, with floral esters and light spice, a very drying texture, and hints of coconut and apple. The finish is long, malty and nutty.

About Glenbotal

The idea of Glenbotal came to us naturally: as whisky lovers, we were always on the lookout for new experiences in the whisky world. That’s why we created Glenbotal and became our very own first customers. We buy unique and hard to find spirits from ballots and private collections. Then, we share them with a small circle of friends and people who can appreciate a good dram.
