Porto Cruz Tawny (75cl, 19%)

Porto Cruz Tawny is a tawny port from the Douro Valley in Portugal, kept in oak casks for several years. The wood ageing gives it a deep coppery red colour with golden edges. On the nose there are ripe plums and figs, with touches of vanilla and caramel. The palate balances natural sweetness with lively acidity, with dried fruit such as walnuts and almonds, a little spice and a light balsamic note. It finishes long and warming.
