A 43 year old single cask Speyside malt distilled in 1965 and released by Douglas Laing in 2008 in the Old Malt Cask series, in a 70cl bottle at 50% ABV. The casks were from Glenfarclas distillery. It came from cask 4816, a sherry butt that yielded 583 bottles. The whisky is bottled without colouring or chill filtration. The tasting notes give orange pith, spice, cedarwood and late leaf smoke on the nose. The palate has a big peppery spice hit and a mulled wine character, and the finish is soft and mellow with dried fruit, jam and gingerbread.

About Glenbotal

The idea of Glenbotal came to us naturally: as whisky lovers, we were always on the lookout for new experiences in the whisky world. That’s why we created Glenbotal and became our very own first customers. We buy unique and hard to find spirits from ballots and private collections. Then, we share them with a small circle of friends and people who can appreciate a good dram.
