Puligny Montrachet

A Chardonnay from Puligny-Montrachet, produced by Francois Carillon. It reflects the appellation's limestone and clay soils, which give structure and complexity. Bright straw yellow, it offers white flowers, ripe yellow-fleshed fruit and light mineral notes reminiscent of flint. On the palate it is enveloping and harmonious, with vibrant acidity supporting a silky texture and a persistent finish marked by hazelnut and butter, evidence of well-judged ageing in wooden casks. It suits fish, refined shellfish and white meats in light sauces.
