Ransom Wine Co & Distillery Rye Barley Wheat Whiskey is an Oregon grain whisky from Tad Seestedt's Ransom Spirits in the Willamette Valley, made from a mash of rye, barley and wheat. It is distilled in a hand-hammered, direct-fired French alembic pot still, and the farm has been certified Organic since 2011.
The nose pairs hazelnut shortbread and sugar cookie with earthy rye spice. The palate opens smoothly with Amoroso sherry and brown butter, building in breadth and viscosity, and the lush, enduring finish carries sweet honey and polished baking spice.
