Rebel 100 is a Kentucky straight bourbon from the Rebel Yell distillery. The mash is 68% corn, 20% wheat and 12% malted barley, distilled in a Vendome copper still.
It is aged for at least four years in new, charred American oak barrels, which give it a toasted, spicy character.
The nose is honey, brown sugar, corn and charred oak, followed by light balsamic and floral notes. The palate is oily and rounded, with vanilla, caramel, pepper and toasted oak. The finish brings orange peel and caramel.
