Red Hills Old Blended 1970s (75cl, 43%)

Red Hills Old Blended is a blended whisky from the 1970s, bottled at 43% in a 75cl bottle. It is light to medium in body, with a refined malty character of moderate intensity. The nose shows fresh apples and ripe, almost overripe fruit, with light orange and mandarin peel over soft vanilla. Black pepper opens the palate, followed by honey, black liquorice and caramel. The finish is short to medium, slightly peppery, with bitter chocolate and a dry, tobacco-like smoke.
