Redbreast 12 Year Old Cask Strength is a single pot still Irish whiskey in a 70cl bottle. It is not simply the regular twelve-year-old bottled at a higher strength: the whiskeys for each batch are chosen specially for this natural cask strength release.
The nose is big, with spicy fruit and oak, vanilla, sultanas, pear, sherried notes and a touch of tropical cake. The palate is mouthfilling and oily, with sweet stewed fruits, lively spice and a biscuity core. The finish brings more spice, creamy caramel, malt and fruit.
