This is the cask strength expression of Redbreast 12 Year Old, an Irish single pot still whiskey. It is made from a mash of malted and unmalted barley and triple distilled in copper pot stills.
The whiskey is matured in a combination of Bourbon-seasoned American oak barrels and Oloroso sherry-seasoned Spanish oak butts, which give the distinctive Redbreast sherry style. At cask strength it shows the 12 year old in its natural, full-flavoured form.
